week #8 ...and #9, and #10, and #11! whew!
...this is just getting embarrassing how behind i am. i am such a slacker! i don't even know why i am so unmotivated to keep up with this thing but it is a problem. let's hope it gets better!
some highlights of the last month...
*i made sure to enjoy and love on my baby girl extra good during the week before i left her for three days for the first time! my mom and i went to fresno for my friend maryellen's wedding... sooo glad i could go! even though my mom and i were both sick it was so nice to spend time with my mom and see maryellen on her big day. and as much as i missed my quinn it felt really good to just relax, eat meals uninterrupted, be sick without having to be mom too, and take a nap!
this lucky girl had her first sleep over at grandma schimpfs one of the nights i was gone while daddy was at work. grandma definitely brings out the best in her... just look at that goofy face!
the beautiful bride!
*one of my favorite places in san diego is balboa park. i grew up dancing there and have so many memories of the place. it really feels like home to me. brian suggested that we go as a little family when i got back from fresno. we hadn't been back there together since he proposed to me in the rose gardens so long ago. i'm sad i didn't take any pictures but it was such a beautiful day in the park, so warm! we took our lunch and enjoyed walking around just the three of us.
*this little lady has been getting some molars and because she was so so sad she got lucky and i let her have her paci! (now that she is a year i try and keep the thing for only sleeping since she loves it so much and i can see getting ride of it in the future may be harder if i don't)
also, she just wanted to sit on her toys.
she has been really into climbing, standing, or sitting on things lately.
she is doing such smart/big girl things lately. it's crazy to me when i find her doing things i didn't even know she knew how!
her favorite is when we take her booster seat off the dining table chair.
keeps her entertained and happy for a long time!
reading in her chair
first time standing in her chair and i found her clapping for herself cause i guess she knew it was a big girl thing to do.
*one saturday we went to the zoo with Brian's parents. so fun!
she liked the guy until we got close for a picture and then she clung to daddy for dear life.
and that is what i loved most about the past month!
